The time paypal takes to send the payment info.
If I recall correctly, this can eithe be instantly, or take over a day...

I've already received email confirmation from PayPal that the amount has been paid.

I guess patience is key.

As soon as the payment clears, the registration will be generated automatically. Some payment options in paypal take longer than others.

When I bought the Mobile version with a Danish Visa card, at the end of the patment process, there was a button labelled "Back to Invelos" or something like that, which took me directly to a page with my new key...

Consider yourself lycky it worked for you.

I tried to register via paypal, but it didn't take, so I tried share*it, that didn't take either, so I'm stuck with DVD Profile 2.4

As mentioned it varies; if PayPal takes money direct from your bank account (as mine does) it's practically instantaneous. If it takes it from a credit card (yes, I know this is safer because of fraud protection) then it takes a day or more.

I'll rather be safe than sorry.

Looks like Share*it have a method more to my liking, though. Perhaps I'm not so stuck after all

That is an old page.
Paypal is a financial institution and, as such is subject to several rules that protect any bank/fin. instit. client.
Paypal Europe is also a registered Electronic Money Institution registered with the Bank of England, and subject to its rules, like any other money institution registered in England.

I've been using paypal since the beginning (quite some years now), and have never been asked to waive any credit card rights I might have (nor would my card issuer let me do so).

You'll probably find similar pages from people who are dissatisfied with the service they got at banks, insurance companies, etc.

And let's face it, what's the worst thing paypal threatens you with?
Account limitation. Not being able to make payments. And, if they conclude you were not using your account in a legitimate way, they'll give whichever amount you have there back, and eventually pass your personals to the financial investigation authorities for possible legal prosecution. Nothing that worries me...

I do all my huge illegal transactions using my Swiss Bank Accounts anyways...

I shouldn't have link to that page in the first place. My bad!

No doubt, it works... once it works!

If you have a PayPal account already, and it has been verified, a credit card is just as fast as a bank account.  Its the unverified people who usually have delay problems.

Your payment was via echeck, which paypal indicates will clear within "4 days".  Usually it's 3 though.

Back to that patience thing.
