| Posted: | | | | It's happening far to often when a new DVD comes out that you get multiple contributions I think it would be a good idea if only one profile can be contributed at a time so people would have to wait for that contribution to either be accepted or declined before another one could be contributed this would allow people to see the profiles side by side to properly assess any changes. | | | Last edited: by ninehours |

| Posted: | | | | I can't agree with this one... not everyone is comfortable doing the same stuff... I don't mind doing cast... but don't do crew... so if someone else puts the crew in the same time as I put the cast in... both contributions should be allowed. That is of course just using cast and crew as an example... could be any 2 fields. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | and why should they have to wait?... because some people don't like that there is more then one contribution up at a time?... in my opinion... that is a so what?.... to me it is more important to get all the correct info into the database as soon as possible... not make it so that some have to wait 2 to 3 days to contribute just because someone else has a contribution in that may or may not even be for the same fields as theirs.
Sorry... I still just don't agree. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | It may be more complicated to set up, but I'd prefer a warning that I was submitting a change in a field where there was a pending submission already. So for example someone submitted a crew change and I was submitting an overview change, there'd be no warning. But if I was also submitting a crew change (even if it wasn't the same change) I would get a warning. |

| Posted: | | | | Now that is something I would like to see... not force you to wait before making a conbtribution! This way hopefully most people would at least look before contributing. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I like northbloke's suggestion too. (Even it it were, for simplicity in coding, a warning for any other contribution, it would certainly help.) | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

I fully agree... ...though in the meantime why can't people check what has been contributed before contributing their own 'update' to make sure all the work hasn't been done or they're not contributing a worse scan. The second it's in their collection and uploaded to online they can see all the contributions that have been made! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Why can't they?... I have no idea... but it does seem like it is to difficult for some. | | | Pete |

I have to admit I've never checked to see if there are pending submissions. It's just never occurred to me. I figure a warning system might at least remind people to check. |
