| Posted: | | | | For example cases with numbered sleeves Once the first case of 52 is filled the second case of prenumbered sleeves starts with 1 again Would be convenient if Profiler could be set to start at B1 for the next case instead of 53. |

If I understand you correctly. You can do this already, though you can't use alpha characrters. Instead of assigning an alpha, assign a number. So you would get 153, 253, 353, etc.

| Posted: | | | | Skip,
You are saying skip from 53 to 200 start the next sequence at 201 signifying second case disk 1.
How do I stop the numbers in between from automatically filling in so I don't have to keep changing the collection number each time? |

| Posted: | | | | You simply change the number otr tell the syetm NOT to assign a number and then you assign it... simple. Case 1 Disc 1 could be 101 and so forth ot whatever sequence you wnat to use...as long as YOU understand what you are doing. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | Instead of requesting the collection number to be changed to support encoding the location/slot fields into it, what about requesting the whatever feature you are missing from the location/slot fields are added? | | | Regards Lars |

That is why I put this post in the feature "requests" area. Thank you for the replies Skip. I know you are trying to help. I appreciate that.

The feature request I requested is a way to take into account DVD cases that have prenumbered DVD holders so that when one case is full that there is a way for the automatic collection number to still work while somehow starting again at case 2 disk 1 and then automatically adding the next number for each DVD that is added until the second case is full etc. If the same thing can be done with the location/ slot fields that would only increase the ease of use of the program and take into consideration that everyone has to be putting their DVD's somewhere. I personally prefer DVD cases.
If I am the only person that thinks this would be a usefull feature then the request wouldn't be granted. If a lot of individuals want the feature then the request might be considered. |

| Posted: | | | | It's an interesting idea, as I too use a pre-numbered case for a lot of my DVDs and it would be great if I could automate the filling in of the location & slot fields. But I'm thinking that interest may be too small to warrant a program update. Do you think a plugin would do the job instead? Can anyone with plugin programming experience say whether this would be possible? |

Can anyone with plugin programming experience say whether this would be possible? Very easy, but I'm in the middle of a "MyTabs" plugin prototype ... maybe somebody else will pick this one up. Otherwise, if there is no interest in "MyTabs", I can come back ... Just in case, somebody does pick it up, you might want to start thinking about what the plugin would do - how would it work from a user perspective. That part is usually harder than the actual programming to get right, so a head start will help anybody who decides to do it. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
