Very bad image quality on PPC

Is it possible to get a better image quality of the cover scans on the PPC ?
I have both versions (PC and PPC) registered and use hq-covers on the pc.
After syncing the quality of the covers on the palm is very bad.
i choose 480x640 and 640x800 for the covers while syncing. no change..
