| Posted: | | | | Hi,
since I've been using disc-level profiles I have the problem that I have to copy&paste the cover from the season box into the disc level profiles.
I'd be nice (and disc space saving) if there was an alternate option that says "use image from profile xyz" and that provides a list just like the box set association table.
This way the image has only to be stored once.
The XML export has then be able to provide that information, too. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Alternatively (if no one wants to save space) how about an option for the program to auto copy the parent image to the child's name so it has an image by default. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Steve But only if they don't have a cover assigned. |

Skip To add to what Skip is saying, there are lots of child profiles that get their own cover scans; Boxsets with each film in its own keepcase is just one case. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |

| Posted: | | | | No one's saying supersede the ability to add a unique scan to a child profile. Just have a simple way to snag a parent scan. Perhaps a check box that says use the parent scan. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | I like the idea. It would save disc space and make it easy to have the same quality image for the profiles which have the same cover. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | But in days where hard drives up to TB are only a few hundred dollars and over a thousand cover images (front & back) takes up just over a 100 MB, does it really matter? |

| Posted: | | | | Locally that my not be the issue, but when it comes to webspace (phpDVDProfiler) it still matters.
And it's still a bring copy&paste action to bring a cover to 6 child profiles (back and front) | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I like the idea... but would like to also take it a step further. Like for many TV Series you can have a 6 disc set (so 6 child profiles) but only 3 cover-arts (2 discs per THINpak)... so would be cool if I could also tell those sets that disc 2 profile should use the disc 1 coverart. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | That's a little different but probably the best way to go if this feature is implemented. Instead of propergating covers to any children that do not have covers, have a profile set to mirror the cover scans of another profile. |

It matters when you have double size scans (1000 x 1400 uncompressed) that average ~2.2MB each. I have only 20% of scans at this size so far and my backup is over 1GB. This is all about what's good for me | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
