There's no current way (that I know of) where I can sort my collection for World Cinema. I could possibly do a audio track search, but it not really the same, and even then includes English spoken films that are dubbed.
Another, better, suggestion would be a tick box (with the genre list), to indicate a foreign film as this still allows for three, film storyline relevant, genres to be chosen. |

You can use tags for this purpose of course, worth a try as many users are utilising this function for just this reason. The problem I see regarding a 'foreign or world cinema' genre is that it is dependent on who is viewing the dvd. I buy a film from Hong Kong and it is foreign to me. However to a Hong Kong user the same DVD isn't, and vice-versa. cheers rich | | | |

| Posted: | | | | Yes I think it's a good thing that Foreign genre has been deleted because it depends of the country of the people. For exemple for an US people, the movie xyz from USA is not a foreign movie but for a people of France, it is. So it's a little bit too complicate to manage. Tags, has already said is a good solution to add more personal genre to your collection and you can filter on this fields. | | | Regards Cyrille |

| Posted: | | | | Shows how much attention I paid to the "foreign" genre entry. I didn't know it was even gone. It never made sense to me anyway, so I never used it, but I didn't even miss its absence. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |
