| Posted: | | | | Hi,
it would be cool, if one could have the possibility to take an existing profile and change it into a manual profile. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Funny, I wanted this yesterday. Although the next beta should allow me to add hd/br titles by disc id which is actually want I was wanting it for.
Still, I think it would be a good idea. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

| Posted: | | | | It would also be nice to be able to enter disc ids manually (using the disc id code, rather than the disc) into the "Change UPC" option. |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe there is a way to only do it for existing Disc IDs (such as searching to see if that disc ID exists in the database). It would come in handy in the future for things like the "Harry Potter" or "Spider-man" Blu-ray child profiles. Right now I am using the standalone releases (but can't contribute due to the different covers/data). I will not have a Blu-ray drive in my computer in the near future, so I won't be able to simply change the upc to the disc id when 3.2 rolls around. That means I need to download the child profiles when someone puts them into the system, then manually transfer all the information over. If I could just use the the disc ID, it would be as simple as entering that code, then accepting only the changes I wanted. |

| Posted: | | | | I think it would be useful to edit Disc IDs too, though there would need to be safeguards in place to make sure typos don't get into the database. Perhaps if you aren't allowed to submit any changes on that profile unless it either matches an ID already in the database, or you confirm it by entering the disc at a later date.
But a definite yes on being able to change UPC profiles to manual profiles! |

I assume this was stopped in order to make it more reliable | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I've just tried to change a manual UPC and it only allows you to enter numbers, no letters. So the best you can do at the moment is replace the manual UPC with an invalid one - not ideal. |

| Posted: | | | | I want this also. I have many many many home videos on DVD (only 5 or so in my collection now). I you love to give them my personal manual entry.
Also, a good few VHS to DVD that I did before trashing the VHS tapes. I currently download a DVD profile modify it and lock it, but being able to change it to manual would eliminate the accidental upload of the profiles. | | | Premium member since 29 August 2002 ----
