| Posted: | | | | I noticed this and found it quite annoying.. maybe its just me.
If you check "Substring Search" and begin typing, each letter you type moves your focus to the result set. This is really irritating since if you want to do a substring search for "Pie" you must type P, move to the text box, type i, move to the text box, type e.
Can we change this so the text entry field remains focused while typing a substring search? |

| Posted: | | | | I don't understand the problem. In the title field, with Substring Search checked, I type P and the cursor remains in the text box, I type i and the cursor still remains in the text box. The text box never loses focus both in the General Filters and in the Add DVD window . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I just tried it again, to make sure I wasnt smoking the funky stuff.
I opened DVD Profiler (Build 1171 on WinXP Pro SP2 with all hotfixes)
In the filters section at the top-left I began typing in the "Title" box. I was filtering for "Baby Boy" I typed B, it filtered the Collection list on the left-bottom and focused on the first item in the list. |

| Posted: | | | | It doesn't do that for me either... It looks like it's something specific to you chzdhippt (btw, that's a really hard name to type! ) | | | Last edited: by bdixon |

| Posted: | | | | I've just tried this and although it's true that the Collection List is filtered as you type, the cursor remains in the text box so you can just keep typing. |

| Posted: | | | | Certainly wierd.. I will try this on a couple more computers and see if I can narrow it down to a specific cause for the developers. |

| Posted: | | | | chzdhippt, is it possible you have a html window active somewhere on the right side...? You know, one of those self-written ones? Those. in my experience, tend to grab focus from the text fields, while the built in windows don't. So, when you try this again, try to make sure that only built-in windows are visible.
