| Posted: | | | | I wonder if he isn't a bit off. I think there were a lot of people who put off buying the hd-dvd drive waiting to see which format would win. I, for one, would buy a Blu-ray add-on. Otherwise, I'll be getting a PS3. I would imagine that if MS doesn't release a Blu-ray drive, a bunch of other people will be doing the same. | | | "I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. I got that LG HD/BD drive that I learned about in this Forum. It works great over USB. All the XBOX 360 needs (I think) is a set of drivers. There are two nice USB 2.0 port on the front (yes I tried, but the drive was not recognized - drat!). | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | I think Microsoft backed HD-DVD more as a spoiler for Blu-ray then any real interest in HD-DVD.
I think the only way they will produce a blu-ray drive is if the see people buying PS3 instead of Xbox to get movie playback. Given the choice I'm sure they would prefer people download their crappy videos and not buy them from someone else. | | | Tom. |
