| Posted: | | | | I thought I read somewhere that Dreamworks, though not a major studio as Universal or Paramount, has made no commitment to Blu Ray for the moment.
I was waiting to hear about them as Universal and Paramount have announced intentions of backing Blu Ray and now we get this. Can Dreamworks remain as a lone backer of HD DVD? Sounds ridiculous to me. I'm sure this MUST be a temporary stand on their part. |

| Posted: | | | | Remember, there are two Dreamworks.
Dreamworks SKG (was under the Paramount deal) and Dreamworks Animation (under it's own deal).
Animation only had Shrek The Third and Bee Movie on HD DVD.
The thought is that, DA is staying HD DVD exclusive as to get more of the $100 million from Toshiba. It was not a lump sum payment. They will eventually go Blu-ray as soon as they make a deal with Toshiba as to hoe much money Tosh will give them for staying loyal. | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... | | | Last edited: by NewEnglander |
