| Posted: | | | | Just viewed it last night. The video was spectacularly good. The only visual glitch I noticed in the entire film was in the scene where Will Smith throws his badge in the face of his chief and as he's walking away he yells at 2 other cops standing nearby something like "Do I look like I care?", and Wills movement from right to left is accompanied by some sort of motion artifact, (2 seconds maybe) but the rest of the video from start to finish is so good I can live with it.
However, in the sound track I noticed some noise in several scenes that is annoying, and it is most notable/annoying in a key scene where Will interogates Sonny for the first time. It's a clicking type noise that sounds like saying the word "flick" under your breath, the noise has a sibilant quality to it. I noticed it to a lesser extent in some other scenes after that one as well but because the dialogue in that scene is spoken over such a quiet background level it is obtrusive. I watched the scene several times to see if maybe it's meant to be there as if something is actually making the noise in the background, but I don't think so. I thought also it could be a hardware issue with my Sony BDP S300 or my surround hardware but several other recent Blu-rays I've watched in the past week haven't exhibited this noise so I'd just be curious to know if anyone else has noticed it?
I just noticed firmware update 3.8 is available and I 'm running 3.7 so I need to update, but I don't think this would make a difference, my experience with firmware updates is that they allow me to play discs that wouldn't load at all and not much to do with video or audio particulars. | | | Last edited: by FLighT |
