| Posted: | | | | By Theo Valich, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 01:00 Best Buy is apparently aiming for a quick transition to Blu-ray, as a reader has informed us that select Best Buy stores have begun get rid of their HD DVD movies with massive price cuts. Other Best Buy stores apparently are not even trying to sell HD DVDs anymore and are sending the movies back to publishers. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | Just visited my local Best Buy (Bridgewater, NJ) to pick up Alvin and the Chipmunks on Blu-Ray. They already packed up all HD-DVD's and replaced the shelf space with Blu-Ray. |

But a lot were sent back. | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

I was just there on Sunday and only saw 7-8 for that price. Everything else was their normal price. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | HMV (at least in Montreal) is offering as of today a whole bunch of HD DVD catalogue titles at 2 for $30, as well as recent releases like I am Legend, Michael Clayton, The Assassination of Jesse James & The Brave One, and the Blade Runner 5-disc set at 2 for $40.
Future shop has the same titles (except for Legend & Blade) at 17.99, but good luck finding them in store.
Last weekend I bought the HD DVD Combo release of Eastern Promises for an astonishing $7.99. Ironically the DVD-only version of the same title was selling for 24.99. |
