Hello!

At least after opening a discussion to get foreign language boards here at invelos, I have to go one step further and worry about the structure, how the forums are presented...

With the simple list of all forums on one screen, over here on my screen I went out of space (and I can provide 1200 pixels vertical resolution).

I wonder if the forum groups (General, DVDP, DVDP Mobile) could be converted to folders, where only the items are displayed, which I'm interested in (using plus and minus signs to unfold and fold the content).

Thinking further, I'd like to have my own personal settings, which are stored, so that the folders come up in the same state I left them the day before...

And, another step in this direction: I'd like to have two new groups of forums:
- Closed User Group Forums
- Foreign Language Forums (see second topic)

Any thoughts on these issues?

Regards, AA

What shall be the aim of Closed User Group Forums? I think all legal registrants of DVD Profiler should have the same rights to access all forums?! Or do you only mean that free users should have limited access to the forums?

Foreign Language Forums could have the disadvantage that some issues will be discussed parallel and redundant. I would prefer more or less a kind of aggregation of important threads and conclusions in different languages.

We should consider as well, that we have already DVD Profiler related websites in foreign languages, like e.g. a German forum.

My 2 cents!
Thorsten

I meant the restricted forums which already exist:
- Contribution Rules Committee and
- Plugin Development

I know, that there are separate sites where interested and interesting people reside. But for me it is too time consuming to visit different sites. I hope that if all activities would be aggregated at one site, I personally would be able to keep track on all issues which are important...

That's why I started these threads - to collect cents...

Sorry but this I cannot understand. What's more difficult in clicking on another bookmarked link instead of switching to another section of this forum?

Especially when other forum softwares have the ability to watch all the new postings since last visit - my usual way to enter any forum.

The Today's Active Topics isn't really an alternative.
