I'd like to have all my games, blue-rays and dvds in one program, DVD Profiler. Makes it easier to remember who borrowed what. However, I wouldn't like to mix games and movie collections and would prefer tabs; one for dvd, blue-rays, ps3 and so on.
I'd also like to include PC games as I'm sure I'm not the only one who plays on several platforms. | | | Last edited: by eirikask |

| Posted: | | | | I'd like to add my laserdiscs and VHS.
How about a "custom" media tab? As of now there's HD DVD, Blu-ray and DVD. Wouldn't it be easy to add a fourth tab with a textbox where we could just write in what media we'd like? (And just lock all "custom media" titles from being contributed). I can't see this being much work for Ken, and it's something that's been requested for years.

Steve Well, not excactly. I haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but right now it loads every DVD i own when I open the tab. And with 5500 profiles it takes forever to load, and makes it almost impossible to work with.

And with 5500 profiles it takes forever to load, and makes it almost impossible to work with. Useful feedback. Depending on what we get (or don't get) in the next release, I might shoot for an upgrade to that plugin - trying to use any or all techniques I can get from my fellow developers. For example, I could try a dynamic data pull - just enough to fill a window as it is scrolled, etc. Stuff like that. But I'll wait to see what we get from Ken. Hopefully, I can forget it, and move on to an easier project. (BTW I code in C#, which can be 10 - 100 times slower than C++ for certain things. Any C++ developer who wants to jump in - be my guest - I will happily defer if you want to build an alternative.) | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
