| Posted: | | | | I have a 32 inch HDTV and I love it so I hooked my PC up to it via VGA since it didn't come with a DVI port and it had a hum bar going up the screen. I had it set on the PC channel.
I had to use onboard video because my dvi to vga connector must not be working so video card would output to TV.
This was just a test for future might hook up a media pc but not with a hum bar, | | | Last edited: by Randall_Lind |

| Posted: | | | | I'm no expert on this - but is it possible you need to adjust the screen refresh rate that the PC is using? |

| Posted: | | | | In the good old days, it was 50Hz for PAL and 60Hz for NTSC. In this day of LCD and plasma - God knows! As, technically, you're using it as a computer display, between 75-100Hz would probably be a better bet. Though be warned, make sure your TV can accept these rates as going too high can damage the display. I think it's a case of trial and error until you find one that both you and your screen are comfortable with. |

| Posted: | | | | Just been reading a bit more on this:
If you're going to use this primarily to watch HD movies and these movies have been given a 24 fps transfer (as they should be), then if your TV supports it - try a 120Hz refresh rate. As 120 is divisble exactly by 24, you'll get a judder-free display. |

| Posted: | | | | 60hz is all there is no other option for me. I read someone was having same issue but with a PS3 and they switch to a hdmi to dvi cable because hdmi doesn't have issues.
So perhaps this will fix it also allowing me to use my video card instead of onboard video. | | | Last edited: by Randall_Lind |
