| Posted: | | | | Does anyone know this brand of flat-TVs? Are they any good?
My neighbour bought one a few weeks ago (46" I believe), and while I think the picture-quality is pretty good, I do seem to think there are some problems with it, like black areas that appear brighter when viewed from a slight angle (not all the black, but parts of it)...
Also, they have some problems with it getting very hot - in fact so hot that if it has been on for 3-4 hours and they turn it off, it then refuses to come on again for 30-45 mintues... Okay, we have had some very hot days, but still...
They do seem to be very cheap - about half the price of (what I think of as) quality brands like Sony, Pioneer, Loewe and Metz - which for me rings an alarm bell... Is that justified?
On a side-note: Does LG rank as a quality brand in flat screens? What about NAD? I know they make (or at least did) some of the best HiFi-equipment, but how do they do on the flat screens? | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

With the problems you discribe however I would steer clear, even if they cost 1/2 as much as a comparably sized name brand. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
