| Posted: | | | | I would like it if the runtime of a boxset child profiles where summed up and displayed in the parent profile runtime field. A condition would be if the total length of its children was not equal to the runtime in the parent.
Examples: Parent profile runtime field: 230 (130) - Child profile runtime field: 130
Parent profile runtime field: 340 (204) - Child profile 1 runtime field: 122 - Child profile 2 runtime field: 82
Parent profile runtime field: 230 (0) - Child profile runtime field: <empty>
Parent profile runtime field: 240 (340) - Child profile 1 runtime field: 162 - Child profile 2 runtime field: 178
Parent profile runtime field: <empty> (230) - Child profile runtime field: 230
Parent profile runtime field: <empty> - Child profile runtime field: <empty>
Parent profile runtime field: 340 - Child profile 1 runtime field: 162 - Child profile 2 runtime field: 178 |

For example: TV-series, parent with children. Parent profiles usually are better up the date than children, because everyone doesn't use children profiles at all. So if I have a parent with correct complete running time and children without running time, this would force me to do all episodes one by one to children so that they won't mess up the parent profile. |

I agree! The summeries should not be saved to parent field, but only live in the table. Therefore, the summery data as per examples would not be contributed. |
