| Posted: | | | | I think Box Sets should be displayed differently in the online collection. Just like in the Profiler itself there should be a plus in front of the box set for the contents to drop down. If that's not possible then the box set contents should at least be a little indented (no idea if that's the right word) under the box set title. So far box set contents are not distinguishable from normal titles in the online collection.
Also, I dont know if I'm doing anything wrong, but i just added a boxset to my collection, but the profiler only downloaded the box itself without content profiles. I added the contents manually and then tried to upload the box set profile as a whole but that didn't work. If that's normal then I'd like DVD Profiler to download whole boxset profiles including all content profiles. | | | Last edited: by Gumbi88 |

| Posted: | | | | A revamp of the online collection is in the works. What the details are is anyone's guess though.
As far as Box Sets are concerned, the child profiles do not download with the parent profile. The children have to be downloaded seperately. Once you download the parent, if there are child profiles available online, insert the discs for the box set in your DVD-ROM drive and from the menu DVD>Add to Collection. Choose the Add Inserted Disc tab. If there is a profile for that disc then the title will appear and you will be able to add it to your collection. Once the discs are added to your collection, locate the parent profile, double click the title to enter Edit mode and select Box Set Contents on the left. In the search field type the titles of the child profiles and they will be filtered. Assign the children to the parent and click ok. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | You did nothing wrong... that is just the way it is right now. Both requests have been made before. And we are hoping both will be done soon. Ken has stated he will be updating the online collection lists... so I am really hoping he fixes the boxset problem soon.
As for the automatically download of child profiles... that is also often requested. But we are hoping that it will come in the form of an option to automatically download children... since not everyone uses child profiles... but we are still hopeful. | | | Pete |

I was thinking it could be something along the lines of a dialogue box with two options: Download Parent Only? Download Parent and Children (if available)? If you choose to download parent and children and there are child profiles available then they will automatically be assigned to the parent. I don't know how that would work though for a "Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos". If, when you first downloaded a box set profile and child profiles weren't available at the time, how would your box set get updated with the children that were subsequently approved and released? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | maybe the addition to the boxset content field could trigger the pop-up to download child profiles. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I can only speculate here but relative the Online Boxset contents MIGHT be somewhat problematic. After all MOST Boxsets, the titles are also sold individually as stand alones. The Boxset idea would be local based on what any given user has purchased.

| Posted: | | | | Another question about boxsets:
When I add the children profiles using the Disc ID, the cover scans most of the time don't match the covers in the boxset since they're the same Discs that are available separately. Is it somehow possible to change the covers to match the boxset? |

| Posted: | | | | You can easily change the covers in your local database. Simply right-click and copy the covers from the parent profile, then go to the child profiles and paste them over the existing ones. Whether you can then upload these to the online is more complicated because it all depends on which cover had the earlier release. |

| Posted: | | | | I know I can change the cover easily in the Profiler, but I'd like it to match in the online collection, too. I guess it would be so much easier if mutliple profiles for the same UPC/Disc ID could exist, at least for boxsets. |
