| Posted: | | | | I'm finding that since HD and Blu-Ray came out, I am starting to replace and add to my library HD and Blu-Ray versions of movies I already have in my collection.
I would like to be able to copy information from the DVD version to the HD or Blu-Ray version. For example, I just bought the Blu-Ray version of Jerry Maquire. I would like to copy all of the cast and crew information to the Blu-Ray version that I have contributed already, as there is a lot to type in.
Is there any way that exists now to copy and paste a whole section of information such as the cast and crew? |

Right click in the cast section and select Copy All Cast. Exit that profile by clicking Cancel. Now edit the profile you wish to copy the cast list to and in the cast list right click and choose Paste All Cast. Do the same for Crew. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | First of all: welcome to the Asylum (I see this is your first post). Here's a guide on how to "clone" profiles (more than just cast and crew). Of course, in this case, you'd also need to change the format from DVD to HD DVD or Blu-Ray. Enjoy the program! | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks a lot for the replies. I have been using the program for quite some time, but never got involved in the forums. I have 635 DVDs (incl. HD & BR) in my collection. I have contributed some profiles, as it seems when I buy some newly release ones (in Canada) they are not in the database, so I like to add as much information as I can.
If I am copying something that is from another profile, wouldn't have that profile been checked before it went on-line? I synchronize my collection all the time, so I don't think I should have any bad data. |

We're only human after all (well, some of us ) and mistakes are made. So it's always safer just to double check before submitting. It's still a lot quicker than typing it all in from scratch! |

If you are buying exactly the same (Canadian) title but with different UPC and 'location' ( USA) factors.. Just download the USA (upc) title and then go to the third tab over on the top ( DVD) and then scroll down to the bottom where it says "change location change UPC" .. Then change the location to Canada.., & then paste or type in the New Canadian UPC . Check all other 'Location' information on this title such as cover scans, Overview and even disc ID. Then with that UPC code already in data base ( as incomplete or inaccurate ) this new contribution of yours can be put up for voting. Make sure in your notes you explain what you did and what you changed . You don't have to mention the UPC change as that wouldn't matter as the contribution is for said Data. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Here's a good example - just bought 'The Love Guru' in Blu-Ray. It's not in the database, so I will contribute what I can. |
