| Posted: | | | | Hi there,
With danger of being flamed, I'll ask this:
I really miss a way to add UMD as a media in DVD Profiler. Is this feature being considered? Or the possibility to customize media types, so we could add them ourselves.
We actually are some people who has a collection of UMDs and would like to add them in DVD Profiler too. ;-)
Thank you for this otherwise cool program, the best I've used. :-) | | | MTV is to music as KFC is to chicken. - Lewis Black | | | Last edited: by Sabal |

| Posted: | | | | Hello Sabal, Welcome to the Asylum! As far as I'm aware, there are no such plans. What you could do is enter your UMD data in DVDProfiler and then use the Tag system to mark them as UMDs. Thus, you would be able to select your UMDs. Of course, UMD data would not be contributable - you'd have to keep your data local. If what you have on your UMDs resembles existing DVD profiles, it would be possible to first download the existing profile and then modify it where necessary. That's called "cloning" of profiles. Here's a guide on how to do that. Good luck! DJ | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

Still seems to be alive and well, I've seen release dates for Step-Brothers, Hancock and Don't Mess With Zohan. I'm not sure, but it's possible these are all Sony films, so it looks like they're not giving up on it just yet. @Sabal, customisable media has been requested in the past, and is still a good idea! In the meantime, as DJ says, try using tags for now. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | I wondered. I download the database (XML) file from HomeTheaterInfo every week to look for new titles (R1 USA) and I used to see far more UMD titles now than a year or so ago. They have disappeared almost as fast as HD DVD titles. So I just wondered... @skip I KNOW UMDs aren't DVDs. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the answers guys. I wasn't really asking Invelos to add a database for UMDs (Though, that would be really cool. ), all I was wondering was if there would be a feature to add new media types to DVD profiler. I could do the rest myself. I have 60+ UMD titles, and though the media never will be as big as DVDs, there's still a lot of new releases coming. @Skip Well, basically BluRay isn't DVD either. | | | MTV is to music as KFC is to chicken. - Lewis Black | | | Last edited: by Sabal |
