Non-ambiguous SRP and Purchase Price Currency Indicators |

Right now, when I'm looking at a profile, CAD and USD looks exactly the same which is confusing. | | Posted: | | | | I'd go with that. There are a few currencies used in different countries that have the same name but are completely different. Examples are Dollars as Patsa quoted & Pounds. Although it does show which you're using when editing the info, it doesn't show on the General Info window. |

That's why I convert all my foreign purchase into local currency (it's also easier for comparison) I've written me an Excel sheet (contains a macro!). On the first page you enter all the summed up costs and on the second the item prices in foreign currency and it will compute the price in local currency. | | | Karsten

I record when ordered, when it was shipped, what the title costs, what the shipping costs and how much customs I payed (if any).  The purchase_date then holds when it did actually arrived and the purchase_price what I paid in € in total, because as DJ Doena said: Quote:

I'd say use the standard three letter format for every currency everywhere and completely get rid of those historic special symbols ($, £, €) and ambiguous abbreviations. |
