| Posted: | | | | I know it has been asked before and I might sound like a broken record, but I think it's worth to keep mentioning the tremendous importance in this day-and-age of UNICODE support.
Due to the lack of Unicode support, I need to manually check every single new addition or update, to make sure it doesn't contain characters that are not supported by my system. When I add info in Japanese characters, these are sent to the server at Invelos as unreadable bakaji.
We are asked to input the original title of movies, yet when I input a Japanese title, it doesn't work when exporting to XML or uploading to the servers.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.
So pretty please, move the software to Unicode at your earliest convenience.
If other people feel the way I do, please feel free to post here and let your voice be heard! | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | Haha, I think I must be tired. I read it as "Unicus support" I agree with the suggestion though. Definitely wants to be implemented. |

| Posted: | | | | I realize this is an old thread, but I have to agree with this request. I have a lot of anime titles and not being able to have the correct original title is annoying. i can use MyMovies but i do not feel like maintaining 2 databases.
If anything, allow us to create a custom field that supports unicode or allow the notes section to support it. just an idea. | | | Last edited: by worf83 |

| Posted: | | | | I had some PM exchanges with Ken about this. It seems he's not against it but it poses a huge amount of work as the basic structure on which DVDP is built (the building blocks, if you will) don't support unicode. If I understood and recall correctly, he would have to almost completely rebuild DVDP from scratch. Basically, I really don't see it happening soon although I would love to have unicode support | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |
