| Posted: | | | | How do I find the total purchase price of my collection (the sum of all of my discs) I used to keep an excel spread ship to calculate this, but i stopped updating it about a year and a half ago...and now with my explosion into hd, I would have to go back and add a couple hundred discs, which I don't feel like doing.
I've tried the database query plug in, but it leaves the purchase price and msrp totals blank. I've ran a query to see if any of the prices are missing and I've filled in all of the missing data. so I don't know why the fields are blank.
Is there a way of getting the totals in dvdprofiler itself? |

Bottom section has Price Paid, both total and average.
The only problem with this is, it doesn't make a difference in currency. The first 2 years I paid in Belgian Francs, valued about 1/40 of 1 Euro, making 2000 and 2001 ranking highest in what I've paid, even though I purchased much less DVD's then. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

Go the the Reports Download and search for "discount", that will bring up DVD Discount Report (v 1.0) and download it. Brace for impact befor running it. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

With the database query it defaults to "hide financial data". Click the last icon (Options) and UNcheck the first box : Hide financial data on summary tab. Restart DVDprofiler and you'll have your financial data! Big advantage of using the plugin is that you can differentiate between currencies. Kudos to Mark Harrison for making this great tool for us. Cheers, Steve |
