Relocate OnlineListSel.dod and OnlineList.dod files |

| | Posted: | | | | Since we can now set folder locations for Database, Translation Files, Reports, Filters, Layouts, Flags etc. it is almost impossible to use DVD Profiler on computers that have maximum profile size set. Systems that uses roaming profiles have usually set a max. size for profiles somewhere around 10MB - 40MB. If I remember correctly MS default is 30MB. Still at the moment DVDP forces OnlineListSel.dod and OnlineList.dod files under user profile and the size on them is ~23MB each. This makes using DVDP impossible with computers with such setup.  In my opinion those files should be located inside database folder, so user could change their location outside profile. When profile size is exceeded, user can not log out without deleting those files first.  |

For example:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\DVD Profiler
Local Settings folder is excluded by default from profile quota. |

Whether Ken realises it or not, a large number of users use corporate notebook computers or supplied desktop computers. Corporate environments use profiles with quotas or folder redirection on these folders. This is standard best practice. And, for ver. 3.6, all Application Data files have been moved to the Local Settings\Application Data directory. Existing files will be moved on first run. If your OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod files are both 23 MB, it means you are loading all regions. That may be what you want, but if not, you can reduce the size of the OnlineListSel.dod and improve program load times by selecting only those regions you want to load.
