| Posted: | | | | I'd like an option where you could just add clarifications and/or validations to contribution notes without changes in that profile. These would go through similar voting prosess.
Example:
Contribution note #1 Oz: The Complete Season 1 Running time verified with VCL Media Player, 7:12:31.
Add-in contribution note #2 without changes to profile Oz: The Complete Season 1 Running time verified with VCL Media Player, individual episodes 53:41+54:20+54:01+53:51+54:19+54:18+53:46+54:15=7:12:31 |

I think it would be great for the people that would like to offer documentation for uncredited cast. |

| Posted: | | | | Indeed: it might help sort the uncredited cast mess and, more in general, address the concerns some fellow users have about insufficient documentation of contributions that get accepted. So +1 from me. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Love the idea. I for one am a bit anal about runtimes, so I check every TV set. Most of the time the running time written on the back of the cover is incorrect. But sometimes it's actually correct (by accident I assume) but it wasn't confirmed in the notes. I'd love to confrm such things so that no one else has to re-evaluate them again. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Not a bad idea, I have been mulling this for awhile now, ever since ken instituted the ability to list Custom Crew Roles. I now use that to list the ACTUAL crew Role as I see it On Screen (until I sometimes run out of room ) this might be useful for that and many other purposes. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! That's exactly where my idea came from. I always put on my notes running time of each episode. But if the added up running time matches with already contributed, but not documented data, I cannot conribute more specified notes. |

| Posted: | | | | I've thought of this before where something may not have been as detailed as it could be but without having something else to contribute it couldn't be done. |

| Posted: | | | | A workaround (I've never used) could be to contribute something (anything), put the correct notes in the contrib info and then immediately withdraw the contribution. This way the info would be there since withdrawn contributions aren't removed from or otherwise marked in the history. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

If we are able to edit our contribution notes, we could address comments people leave in their votes without having to re-contribute the profile and maybe make some unintentional error in the process.
Would this be something we could do in the voting screen/database tab? | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |
