| Posted: | | | | According to this article, Universal will release double sided Blu-ray discs with BD on one side and DVD on the other. In other words, exactly like the HD DVD combo. I'm not sure I understand what that would solve. The BD/DVD-versions will probably have a unique UPC, so I doubt it'll be necessary to use the disc ID. |

Not necessary. I was just suggesting that if there is a diffence in content on the two sides, it would be--in fact already is--possible to profile the two sides separately. For example: Blu-rays generally add some special features that the DVD doesn't have; different audio formats; etc. Not saying it would have to be done that way, but that it can be done. | | | Last edited: by CalebAndCo |
