| Posted: | | | | Sorry Quebecers... I don't know what the rating system in Quebec is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Home_Video_Rating_System
I would like to see the ratings correctly changed for Canadian Locality profiles.
Currently, when selecting Film as the Rating System, you get the correct options (almost). The Rating Options are: NR, G, PG, 14A, 18A, R and Adult.
However, when selecting Television as the Rating System, the options aren't even close to what they should be. The current options are: NR, G, C, C8, PG, 14+, 18+, Adult.
Canada uses a standard Home Video Rating System (has used it since 1995, so it shouldn't be a problem for whatever was used before that). This rating is applied to BOTH films and television. Once that program, whether it originated from a theatre screen or a television screen, hits DVD/Blu-ray/VHS/whatever, the rating gets standardized according to the Canadian Home Video Rating System.
The correct ratings for both film AND television for Canadian locality profiles should be as follows:
NR G PG 14A 18A R E (for exempt, although I rarely see these) Adult (for profiler purposes I suppose)
I don't think this would be too hard to fix. Maybe someone who's more familiar with Quebec's rating system could chime in with their thoughts too in case something is incorrect. Both could be easily fixed at the same time if need be. | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

I'm almost certain the rating are the same for the television also (it's the only one I've seen watching our TV) I looked for a link to try and get a little knowledge on the subject, but couldn't find one. Guess I didn't look all that hard as I was at that site at one point. Thanks for posting the info!! | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | It's selfish, but since Ken seems to be putting the final touches on the beta and working out all the kinks and errors, I thought I'd bump this, see if there isn't a possibility it could somehow get thrown in with everything else. | | | The night is calling.
