| Posted: | | | | Having changed from Collectorz to DVD Profiler there is on thing that I miss very much and that is the search facility in a user friendly way. To be more clear: I can search for an actor or a writer or a director, but what if I will have all movies of Clint Eastwood as a director and as an actor. What I like is a central point where I can search for Williams and get Tennesse Williams and Esther Williams as well as Robin Williams. When searching for a movie I do have to know what the exact title is, because searching for Button gives no hit because film is called "The curious case of Benjamin Button". Maybe I do something wrong and in that case I like it if you can help me. |

| Posted: | | | | next to the text box that you enter your search criteria in is a check box for "substring search" if you check that typing 'button' will give you anything where the title contains button. I believe somewhere there is a post stating how you can set this option to be on by default.
as far as getting Clint Eastwood's acting credits and directing credits in one easy search unfortunatly the cast and crew databases are separate so you need to check Clint Eastwood under cast and then under crew (you can filter the displayed names down so you don't need to scroll through everything to get to his name). Combining the cast and crew databases has been asked for but until it gets done (if it's something Ken plans on doing) this is how it needs to be done.

| Posted: | | | | I am very sorry but in my DVD profiler I can't find an extra check box. Left is an icon for clearing the filters and right of it there is something like HTML windows (sorry I have a Dutch version, so I am translating back to English). Can you make a screen print, that can probably help. |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you very much. A new world has opened, but I do feel like a dumb blonde although I am very grey. I always search on a different place ("Tiltle to be searched" in between "EAN changes" and "HTML window") and now it feels like looking for your glasses in the attic while they are lying in the cellar! |

They could have been on your nose already. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
