| Posted: | | | | Twentieth Century Fox is credited as Twentieth Century-Fox in a few movies. This makes no sense grammatically, but there you have it. Similarly, Universal's home video division may be Universal Studios Home Video or Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Lionsgate may be one word or two. We shoudl have a way of linking these is the program. |

| Posted: | | | | I fundamentally agree a linking system but PLEASE not another Credited As. It oesn't function in the cast and Crew very well, we have found this out the hard way. Just use a simple association system. PLEASE no Credited AS...not again.

IMHO, we already have that, since the rules do NOT say to enter studios "as credited", but instead tell us to use "correct names" for studios. So there's the linking system: we just use the correct studio name regardless of minor variations seen on the screen. As far as I'm concerned, the prescribed-by-the-rules "correct name" for Twentieth Century-Fox is Twentieth Century Fox. Some of these known variations are already automatically corrected by Invelos filter (i.e. "20th Century Fox" becomes "Twentieth Century Fox"), but the rest we need to do by ourselves. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

This explains what seems to be a wonky name: Quoting Wikipedia: Quote: The company was founded on May 31, 1935,[1] as the result of the merger of Fox Film Corporation, founded by William Fox in 1915, and Twentieth Century Pictures, founded in 1933 by Darryl F. Zanuck, Joseph Schenck, Raymond Griffith and William Goetz. | | | Last edited: by CalebAndCo |

Never noticed that this has worked, but with something like this we could have less different same studios. |

Because studios can change their names whenever they want, going by the current name is just ridiculous. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once.
