| Posted: | | | | This thread about suppressing the contribution of dividers in the "Other" Crew section got me to thinking about another thing that could be suppressed. A couple of years ago in this thread, I posted about how I handle "Cast in Order of Appearance" so that I can have the main actors listed first: Quoting m.cellophane: Quote: Here's what I have been doing in my local db only when the end credits are in order of appearance or alphabetical order: I input the opening credits first followed by the ending credits, separated by a divider. I use the role names from the end credits to complete the beginning credits. This is helpful on my PDA and I'm sure it would be useful to those who print reports.
Example:
Now I'm wondering if we could have a cast divider that would suppress all of the cast (between the divider and the group end divider) from being contributed until after the group end divider. That way, we could have entries in the cast list that aren't contributable (and immune from update changes). So in the pictured example, I would change it up by having a divider at the beginning called "Opening Credits", followed by non-contributable cast, then an end divider, and then the end credit (contributable) cast. Other uses could be listing cast that are in special features. | | | ...James
