| Posted: | | | | Could the current system of having links to profiles online moved to within the DVD Profiler progamme in the 'Personalise DVD' section of each individual profile. On this page they would not be uploaded. I don't use the online links anymore because iin the past I have found too many irrelevant or dead urls.
That way an individual user could keep the links that are relevant to their individual DVD profile and include:- direct url's to imdb.com (title) local studio/media companies movie/tv show direct links. My own movie/ftv show review links wikipedia etc. Resonsibility for keeping the links up-to-date would lie with the user. | | | Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine

| Posted: | | | | Well, the responsibility to keep the links up to date lies with the users at the moment. If you find a dead or irrelevant link you can review the links for that profile and hopefully the submitter will correct the error. /Jimmie |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Jimmie, The problem with the links (other than dead urls), is that they are more relevant to the user and their geographic location than to the greater DVDProfller community, not to mention subjective bias. As for updating dead links, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the original submitter to update links, hence the suggestion that the urls's are maintained and updated within the individual user's database rather than the DVDProfiler database. That's why I suggested it might be moved to the "Personalise DVD" section of the profile as it is not uploaded with new/updated profiles. | | | Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine
