| Posted: | | | | Although a lot of people currently enter them, the current system doesn't really cater for releases that have more than one film on one side of a disc.
For example, I've just purchased a title that has nine short films on there. Four of them have an English audio track while the others have other European languages such as Swedish, Dutch, etc...
As it currently works, we can only list the audio tracks at disc level so it would look like each film has the same audio (doesn't have to be different languages like my example, but simply different formats such as DTS, Dolby, etc...)
What I'd like to see is the ability to have the audio listed against each independent title. Perhaps (and this is only my suggestion) introduce a new Film divider to the cast/crew sections & from that, under the Audio/Subtitles section, for each Film divider entered, an audio/subs subsection is shown.
Edit: Forgot to say that this would also apply to other sections where the info could vary, ie Aspect Ratio. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

| Posted: | | | | I like to track individual run times for each film. It's not at all helpful to know the combined running time of all the films if I only plan to watch one of them.
Also, I like to track when a film was watched. Not when everything on one side of a disc is watched.
You have my support. I've been asking for this for years. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | I currently dupe the original to make a manual entry for the second one. I eliminate the information that does not apply to each of them. I personally want a single profile for each movie. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the feedback so far. For the "No" voters, is it simply a personal choice or is there a technical reason as to why you don't want this ability? Quoting mreeder50: Quote: I personally want a single profile for each movie. That is of course an alternative option. The only slight problem with that is we'd need a 3rd contributable way of identifying each individual profile (UPC/EAN, Disc ID & ?). Of course, I'm open to any method that would allow us to accurately capture all of this info. |

I personally want a single profile for each movie. I do this also. Warner Bros. has started releasing double feature Blu-rays (both movies on one side) and I like each movie to have it's own profile. I voted YES. |

| Posted: | | | | I would like this also.
A good way of doing this would be
take the upc and add number behind it
0123456789.1 0123456789.2
or Disk id
so
discid.1 discid.2
You could actually take care of season episodes the same way.
Don't know how complicated... |

| Posted: | | | | I think Charlie is on to something. The idea is fundamentally a good one. While we can do something along these lines right now relative to Cast and Crew using dividers, we cannot capture any difference between to Films, such as Video, Audio, Runtime, etc.So, sign me up and i don't think Charlie's idea would be hard to implement from a Programmer's perspective. However the UPC assignment with decimal would HAVE to handled at Invelos' end, because with our user base there would be no consistency, and while i would hope not, I see potential arguments over which title would get which "UPC".
Have I become a cynic...Oh yeah, big time. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I don't think there would have to be much arguement
If it is a single disk release with multiple movies, then use the UPC
If there are multiple disks then
upc Disc id1 Discid1.1 Discid1.2 Disc ID2 Etc..
Pretty straight forward I think...

| Posted: | | | | I have no comment on the basic idea, but just a reminder that upc.locality = profileID already. This serves sort of as a database key. i think it would be a major hit to change that. Probably best not to worry so much about the exact implementation. | | | Thanks for your support. Don't know how complicated... This method is already used for localities. The way I would do it is break out the movie info from the disc profiles so you could attach any numer of movies to any disc. But I'm not countint on it, ever... | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | This has been a problem for a long time, so any solution would be more than welcome. Charlie's idea sounds good to me, but I'm not a programmer. |
