It would be a nice option to be able to NOT show actors credits from child profiles in the cast view pane. Casts can ofcourse be deleted from the child profiles, but it would be great to not have to do that.

Example: (from my database)
Charlie Sheen shows 25 credits including credits from the child profiles discs.
I would much prefer to only show 1 credit per title without the child profile discs included.

Make any sense?

Thanks,
Rick...

Simplest option: don't download the child profiles for tv series.

Otherwise the program would have to distinguish between TV and movie child profiles, because I don't think you would want to block out movie credits?

If you want the child profiles you could still empty the cast and crew sections and then lock them.

What might be a better idea is to have an easier way of deleting cast and crew. Perhaps a button or menu option called "Clear list". A lot easier than having to remove them one at a time.

Create a new manual profile, select it in the collection list, choose "DVD" --> "Copy" from the menu, select the profile from which you want to delete the cast/crew (or flag the profiles, if there are more you want to edit), choose "DVD" --> "Paste..." from the menu (if you've flagged the profiles, choose "Collection" --> "Flagged" --> "Paste...") and select only "Cast" and "Crew". That will overwrite the existing cast/crew with the empty list of the manual profile.

But I agree, a "Clear List" button (and an equivalent to clear the lists of all flagged profiles) would be even better.

I always remove them from the parent profile myself... but I don't do one at a time. There is a much quicker way. I just copy the cast from an already empty one and then past it to the one I want to empty.

But a "Clear List" button on cast and crew would be cool to have!

I'm with pete, I HATE parent profiles with cast and crew, with a passion. I always have ZERO Cast and Crew data in the parent.

I don't care one way or the other.

But, it would be nice for "Clear List" button for those that do.

Of course I want a button for Uncredited Crew too.

...I think I just like buttons!

I do like having the cast in the child profiles to keep reference to guest appearances for TV series. It would be a nice to be able block the regular cast of a series with a check box.

example:
Do not count this reference to actor in his or her credit count. (X)

I'm not looking forward to manually deleting the regular cast in my TV series child profiles (I have more than a few), but unless I see a hint of Ken maybe considering implementing something to address my request I guess I'll have spend some time cleaning my database up for my personal taste.
