| Posted: | | | | Hi all --
I think it would be a great idea for the online collection feature to allow someone viewing my collection site to be able to click on a trailer link (much like in the DVD Profiler application itself) to get a taste for a movie they might be interested in. Is this something someone could take up and run with? I know, I know, they can just as easily (or not) go to IMDB and catch a trailer there, but why not enhance even further the application and its associated features that we have all come to love and enjoy? Many of my friends get together fairly frequently just to watch movies, and this would be a great added bonus as they are scanning my collection for potential next movies to watch. |

| Posted: | | | | A temporary solution is to give the link to the profiles link page for a particular title (where the trailer url is available). Not ideal, but a workaround until something is done. | | | Last edited: by synnerman |

| Posted: | | | | There has been talk about an enhanced update to the online (though we haven't heard about it in a while) that would cost a nominal yearly fee and would give all kinds of new options. This would be a good one (since all it requires is adding the profile links to the page). | | | Last edited: by synnerman |

| Posted: | | | | I just wrote a simple Greasemonkey script for that. It's not an ideal solution, as Greasemonkey scripts are stored and executed locally. So, you have to use Opera, Chrome or Firefox + Greasemonkey addon. But until Ken pimps the online collection, it's better than nothing, I guess. To install the script go to userscripts.org and click the button "Install". In Opera right-click the button, choose "Save Linked Content As", save the file somewhere and then specify that folder in Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content -> JavaScript options. | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

| Posted: | | | | Perhaps a future upgrade will incorporate this. If it required a modest annual fee for it and other added features, I could go for it. But maybe hard to sell in current economic situations. |
