| Posted: | | | | I would like to have a different color divider for Disc Sides.
Some of us don't have DVD-Rom Drives in our computer. Yeah believe it or not!
Even if it's something that would be local only I still think it would be a great addition to the program. |

| Posted: | | | | Can't say I am for or against your request Cubby... but that is probably because I am not 100% sure what you are asking for or what gain we get from it.
Maybe you could explain it a little further? | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | ok... not something I would have any use for... but if he wanted to make it a local only optional use I of course wouldn't have a problem with it. If it is a different movie on each side of the disc I would think that even if you can't do it... it would eventually be turned into a boxset by someone. And the main profile per rules would be blank for cast and crew anyway. If I was in your shoes and didn't have a DVD Rom what I personally would do is still make it a boxset using manual profiles till they were made by someone for the online... as it would at least give me the accurate info that I prefer... cast and crew coming up on each movie, movie length for each... and so on. But that is me. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I think it's because he can't add them by disc id. So he want to enter the profile by its upc and use the divider to separate the 2 movies. The different color being a way to know it's a double side dvd...
Am I right Cubby? But why not create 2 manual profiles and attach them to the one with the upc?
I wouldn't use that, but I've no problem at all with this request. | | | Last edited: by Jimmy S |

The different color being a way to know it's a double side dvd... Unless I'm mistaken there's a built-in feature or a plugin that can create child profiles solely on the info entered into the "disc info" tab. For TV shows it's far more likely that someone filled that info but did not create child profiles. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If the dvd is in the database when we add it in our collection, dvdp ask if we want to add the child profiles. But if it isn't in the database it didn't help a lot...
With my precedent computer I didn't have a dvd reader also and I use manual profile. But it was with dvdp 2.4 and it was the only way to do that, | | | Last edited: by Jimmy S |
