| Posted: | | | | A large portion of my DVDs (and apparently for Addicted2DVD as well as of late ) are gifts that were given for my birthdays or during Christmas. I mark them as $0.00 paid and the giver's name as the place/retailer. How about additional options to take gifts into account where price is eliminated as a factor and those giving the gifts are considered as a third 'retailer' group? It could look something like this: This sort of feature would also benefit statistically where (as one of several examples) when looking at "Purchase Places" under the Chart & Graphs, you could select to eliminate from the equation all DVDs given as gifts. (I can't believe I never thought about this before now.) | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

Currently I'm using a workaround (simply added "Gift" as a retailer). Same thing I am doing currently... I also add a note that says Gift from whoever in the notes section. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | +1 from me, as well. I use the "gift" retailer but it would be nice for the price field to be eliminated for those profiles. | | | Lori |

I don't often get DVDs as gifts, but I do have a few. As a workaround I've created a retailer "Gift" and put the gift-giver in the notes, but I'd much prefer the method you outline. |

| Posted: | | | | I created a retailer called "Gift". When I receive a DVD as a gift, I select that retailer, enter the price as $0, and put the gift giver's name in my notes. It works well.
