I was thinking it might be useful to have an additional free text field next to the existing fields (language, codec, channels) for audio tracks, perhaps to right of the last field:

That would allow us to enter additional data such as:
- Define which variation of a language it is (Canadian French, Cantonese or Mandarin, etc)
- if a track is 'hidden' or not readily accesible, how to access it (eg: set player default language to Japanese)
- Commentary: if there are more than one commentary tracks, to differentiate between them (who speaks or what kind of info is given)
- other useful info I'm not thinking of right now.

I would rather have more fixed language options before we start to use free text fields. Free text is a database nightmare unless we are also given good text search and filtering tools.

Also, we're not supposed to contribute "hidden" tracks outside their locality so there's no need for that.

+1 for the "who is speaking" on the commentaries though, although this could be difficult to achieve for space reasons if many people are involved.

I don't even uderstand why we can't have free text for our personal database for many fields...
