| Posted: | | | | Now a days i primarily purchase Blu-rays, and only the odd DVD.
I also create a fair number of new, pre-release profiles. The programs default Media Type is DVD. I sometime forget this and submit new profiles as DVD when i meant Blu-ray, requiring me to then update the submission after approved to correct this.
It would be useful if i, the user, could select a default Media Type of DVD or Blu-ray. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Even if you were able to select your default media type you'd still forget to change it from Blu-ray to DVD when uploading a DVD pre-release profile . Could just quit doing pre-release profiles. |

I'm not a big fan of pre-release. Just did one that had all 3 (P&S, FF and widescreen) ticked. It was just widescreen. And orig title was 4: John Cena.(wrong) |

I've seen too many profiles where at release date everything has been proven wrong (despite a fistful of approved contributions by the very same fellow user) or where all that was left was an abandoned profile because even the UPC wasn't right. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. | Posted: | | | | From my experience, these "bad apples" have been few and far between, at least in Region 1. I appreciate the work users do in taking the time to add pre-releases to the database. I use the "Add Upcoming" feature a lot to add titles that I may be interested in to my wish list. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I have seen the same thing on new release profiles...not that it matters, until Invelos decides they are not allowed, this is a moot point and has nothing to do with the original request. Whether it is a pre-release or an actual day of release profile, the ability to select a default media type would be a nice addition. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I'm not against pre-release profiles, I'm against unverifiable data. Maybe it's Invelos' point of view that at first glance it looks better to have something than nothing, but that's not my standpoint. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played.
