A easier method for copying data |

| Posted: | | | | I would like to see the ability to pull data from two places that we currently can't:
1.) When you are adding a DVD from the online database and select preview, it would be nice to be able to copy the data (like cast and crew) without actually downloading the profile. Just the ability to cut and paste it to a clipboard would be fine. This would aid greatly in cloning a re-release without going through the trouble of downloading the profile, copying and pasting the relevant data, and then deleting it.
2.) From the online voting page. Take a look at all of the arguing over the past few days about whether a profile that is good on all but a few minor details should be declined. To some users, it would be helpful if they could click on a box and make the data downloadable, regardless of whether it goes through or not so they can add it to their local. |

| Posted: | | | | Fully agree! And, while we're at it, what about being able to copy Cast and Crew data from particular episodes only in cases where Episode Dividers are used in profiles? On a related note: when I remove an episode from a profile, in Crew the crew data that belong to that episode are being removed as well - as it should be, IMHO. In Cast, however, not so: the episode's cast remains in place and only the divider itself is being removed. Which can be fairly annoying. Please fix this, Ken! |

| Posted: | | | | Agree on part 2.) of synnerman's proposal.
Completely disagree on part 1.), but that is simply because I am no friend of cloning data for the known reasons. So one could easily ignore my objection here. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Cloning blindly is a big no no to me too, Lewis. Cloning to get an easy starting point for a full audit IMHO is a different animal altogether. Which is why I support the OP's proposal. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with #one as well.. BUT let's take it a step further I'd to see cast and crew given to all new releases of same title .. and updated as time goes by by Invelos them selves .. Can filters do this?? The one thing about the data base that irks me to no end .. Is when I bring home a locally purchased dvd (either from the brick and mortar store down the road or from two thousand miles away via postal.) . and enter the upc and find it has a miniscal cast / crew base .over the other 24 versions.
Scanned covers I can deal with because of the upc sticker that cover must be the same., but when you have a movie that has been uploaded from (i.e.) 6 couuntrys and three of them are from North America.. two from Canada and one from the USA you can pretty well know that not all these same titles are the same .. Whether it is an original release from 10 years ago or a re release from the past couple years or different hard versions such as metal boxes,, blue ray, special edition/ director editions etc .. the cast and crew vary greatly .. Mind you some extended versions will have a different cast base .. but when the cast has different 'roles' whether a missed word or mispelt character .. It would be nice to get all this info catagorized in a much simpler matter than sleuthing between all releases . . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
