| Posted: | | | | I would love a feature that would keep track of the items in our wish list, then notify us if any of them dropped below a certain price (which we set) in an online store. Ken could collect a bunch of Amazon affiliate money and everyone would win. | | | Last edited: by Ace_of_Sevens |

And while we're on it this could be a general price-alert that also notifies when the price rises above a certain value. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I know that there are tools like this, but one that went off my DVD Profiler website instead of making me re-enter everything would be way more convenient. |

| Posted: | | | | Look at blu-ray.com it's pretty much a front end to amazon with a movie database too. So this is what Ken has to compete with, needless to say it's a bit late into the game but if he can combine the superior Profiler database with something like that I'm sure it's going to be useful and perhaps even profitable. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Would be good, especially for (e.g. continental-European) folks who rely on subtitles in their own language. Often the information on the presence of subtitles on webshops' pages is incomplete and/or unreliable. The DVDP database does a much better job on this issue. |

| Posted: | | | | The problem with that is that the association of ASIN (Amazon Standard Item Number) and EAN / UPC is not reliable.
Most of the time you can query an ASIN and get the EAN of the DVD you'll actually receive. But I already had cases where the EAN was different (re-release) or where Amazon.com did send me a Canadian copy of the same movie.
I wouldn't have minded the dual-language cover if there hadn't been the issue that the US copy was region-free and the Canadian copy of the same Blu-ray was region-A-locked. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Does Amazon really sell Canadian releases from their US site? Aren't you talking about 3rd party associates now, that can mean anything? | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I wasn't that suprised. I once ordered from Amazon.com and the packaged was shipped from New Zealand! Ironically it arrived faster than a second package that was shipped the same day, but this time from the US. Sometimes when I order from Amazon.co.uk the package arrives the next day. Because it was send from Bad Hersfeld - the central Amazon hub for Germany, Switzerland and Austria (but admittely they were British DVDs). | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
