When you have several movies and and want to return a couple you have to click title, click return, click title, click return ... Why not allow using Ctrl-Click to allow clicking multiple movies OR Shift-Click to select a grouping of movies. Then a simple click on return to process them all.
Isn't this the way grids normally work?

| Posted: | | | | A "grid" is a control resembling a spreadsheet with rows and columns. I think the one he's talking about shows a "grid" where every row is a movie loaned out. I don't have it in front of me, but I suspect the "grid" displays the title, who it's loaned to, when it's due back, etc. With a row for every overdue loan.
Many times a "grid" will allow you to select multiple rows and perform an operation on all of them at once. Much like we can flag profiles and then perform an action on all the flagged profiles. He's saying it would be nice to simply select all the titles being returned, then do a single "return" that applies towards all the rows selected in the "grid" as opposed to doing them one by one.
Seems a worthy request to me. Not something I'd use. But it seems like a good idea. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. | | | Last edited: by Mark Harrison |
