Currently, when I add a new profile that doesn't exist in the online DB, DVDP forces me to make a DVD of it (forced selection between DVD regions, unable to switch to Blu-ray)

That is rather annoying as each time I then need to manually adapt the profile: change media type, change region coding, etc.

It would be nice if we could select the media type from the get-go. That way we can immediately set the correct settings for the new Blu-ray without having to edit the profile afterwards.

I concur, especially since the current system leads to many incorrect profiles where people enable blu-ray but forget to disable DVD as a media type when they create the profile (not talking about combos now, just plain BD.)
