As a dedicated contributor it pains me when someone contributes something to the database despite being told what they are doing is wrong.
A couple of contributions have been submitted that are wrong. I voted NO. I also PM'd the person and let them know they'd made a mistake and why. They edited their notes to make it sound like they were abiding by the rules.
I PM'd again.
Now I'm blocked and their notes say I was rude in my PM. I wasn't.
Am I alone in getting annoyed and frustrated by this kind of attitude?
I did a full audit on these titles and to have that work potentially undone really tests my dedication to this program.
Rant over. |

| Posted: | | | | I can understand you, but do not let that frustrate you too much. I would resubmit your correct contributions, screeners can make mistakes, they are human What titles are we speaking about ? Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |

| Posted: | | | | I'd rather not say what titles they are as I'm very concious of not 'outing' the contributor. I may think they're an idiot; but I'm not going to make them a target. My post was really just a way to vent my frustration. A purge! Sometimes, just following the rules and sending PMs is not satisfying enough! |

| Posted: | | | | A worthy attitude, Pantheon (especially given the quality of your contributions in general then seeing bad data overwriting them)... yes, I get frustrated too but I agree that, unless necessary, outing and targetting contributors is generally best avoided. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | You'd always have those people that'll try to push through their interpretation of the rules. This is even more annoying if it collides with your personal interpretation.
But the rules are what they are and they leave a lot of room for interpretation (as can be constantly seen in the "Contributions"-forum).
What I found extremely funny though was that you were being called "rude". If the "contribution" is as obviously incorrect as the statement above, there's absolutely no need to worry about this being accepted. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
