Brand new Wile E. Coyote
  An honest to goodness, brand new Wile E. Coyote - 
Roadrunner cartoon made with today's technology
(but all of the old humor). Enjoy!! This is the
first Roadrunner done with computer graphics.

Lots can be  done with computer graphics that will
be far less expensive to complete than  those old
Disney style drawn animations. The computer graphics
look good, and  the video still has that Roadrunner fun.
Only 3 minutes, but 3 minutes of fun!

There were three Road Runner cartoons made using computer animation in 2010. These cartoons were shown with a feature-length film. Chariots of Fur was shown with Richie Rich, Coyote Falls was shown with Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Fur of Flying was shown with Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Rabid Rider was shown with Yogi Bear.
AFAIK, at least Coyote Falls was on the Cats & Dogs BD in 3D. Apparantly, four more were made for the Looney Tunes Show, but I don't know the facts on that.

In the few cartoons were Wile E. spoke, he called himself "Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius"


I've thought about this before, and this episode reaffirms my belief that not only is he a total moron, but Road Runner is beyond average intelligence (he may not be a genius, though) Here's why:

In the same episode where he spoke, he explains why he wants to eat Road Runner, each section has the flavor of a difference delicacy. And look at him, he really could use some meat on those bones. Does Acme not sell Coyote food? They sell bird seed. Are they the only company that delivers in his area? That seems unlikely given all of the vehicles that drive through his area: he's been hit by enough of them.

And why does he stick with Acme? Does he have an unlimited line of credit or something? Everything he buys either blows up in his face (sometimes literally) or he modifies it, now prone for disaster.



Now, Road Runner on the other hand... he's not only fast with his feet, but fast with his brain. I'll use this cartoon as my example, but every one of his shorts has one. As Coyote is falling the first time, he isn't halfway down, the camera switches to a POV shot and Road Runner is already looking up at him. He doesn't move an inch. He knows the bungee cord isn't going to stretch far enough to be reached, and then taunts Coyote for it.

Similarly, near the end of the clip while Coyote is chasing using the truck, it's a completely different scenario. The cord is being tugged, stretched very tightly, and is able to get much longer. The Road Runner is racing down the road and practically stops on a dime when he gets to the stop sign. If anything he could have moved to the right to avoid Coyote whose path is bound where the truck goes, but nope. Again, he doesn't move. He knows Coyote isn't going to think quickly enough to grab him as soon as he feels the cord is tugging against him (if Coyote just closed his hands he would have had Road Runner.)


Yep, Road Runner is the smart one in this relationship.

Being that some people are trying to be reasonable/rational about Wile E. Coyote and his relationship with the road runner and ACME, If find it necessary to point out a few things.

There is no such company as ACME who sells inventions and devices to coyotes for the purpose of capturing road runners

Coyotes cannot talk and therefor couldn't purchase from ACME if it did exist.

Coyotes do not have payment methods to pay for said merchandise if they could talk.

Finally, this is a cartoon that was invented for slap stick entertainment value.  If the coyote was to get a meal and not have to pull lame brain stunts in order to catch the road runner these cartoons would no longer be humorous.  Please take these cartoons as they are 3 minutes of fine entertainment.  Hopefully one day we will get to see the coyote eating dinner from a road runner shaped pan, possibly purchased from ACME.
