Would it be possible to allow the filter to recognize Jnr as well as Jr?
There is an actor: Lawrence McGrandles Jnr whose name is changed to Lawrence McGrandles, Jr. by the filter.
I realise the filter will add the comma; but does it have to change Jnr to Jr too?
Thanks |

It sounds like it does recognize Jnr and changes it accordingly so imo it works as intended. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | It is working the way I would expect it to as well.
It should be giving you...
Common name: Lawrence McGrandles, Jr. Credited As: Lawrence McGrandles Jnr
This way it all links up without needing to find the common name between credits with all the different versions of Jr. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Oh. I get it. I was completely misunderstanding the purpose of the filter. I thought the filter was simply to regulate the comma/no comma issue. I didn't realise it was also there to standardize the Jnr./Jnr/Jr./Jr issues. So, why doesn't it standardize 'Junior'? Mark Boone Junior springs to mind, but anyone with Junior on the end is not shortened to ', Jr.'. I welcomed the comma issue being sorted; but to completely change a name seems a bit extreme to me. Especially, if the filter doesn't work for everyone. |

I did this just now John Junior...anywhere in the US... it cut the search short at 100 names.
So if it automatically did it for Junior we would get stuff like....
John/ /,Jr. (John Junior) | | | Pete |
