| Posted: | | | | Hi, I'm pretty much just a user of Profiler and perhaps come detective work is in order but I don't care to spend the time or effort. I've noticed that on many profile dates the birth years are being removed. When I first became aware of this I did everything I could to determine the correct birth year. Most, if not all, of those I attempted to verify from various sources seemed correct. I just started refusing these updates because of time constraints. The time it takes to preview all updates is aggravating me more than I like to admit. I soon began muttering expletives when I came across a deleted birth year and refused the update but now have graduated to wishing whoever is doing this would simply die. When trying to identify a character or just out of simple curiosity I prefer to know the year of birth. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what's up with this and how to make me more accepting of the situation. Jim F. |

| Posted: | | | | What is the reason given for removal (where you vote on contributions)?.... It could be they are being removed because they are not needed per the Rules. According to the rules the only time birth years should be added is because there is 2 or more cast or crew members with the same common name. This way we can separate them for linking purposes. But if there is no need for a birth year we are told not to use them. | | | Pete |
