Simply because for DVDProfiler there are only two valid profile-identifiers which are:
1) UPC (EAN) + Locality
2) Disc-ID + Locality
none of those could be attached to a digital file.
As a workaround you may want to take custom Media-Types into consideration (Menu: Tools -> Edit Media Types...). Those sadly will not be contributable and should be entered as Manual Profiles only. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
