Any chance the system can be changed to show people there are pending contributions waiting approval?
I don't mean when none have been accepted, but there do seem to be a number of people happy to duplicate work by not checking what updates are already pending once the first contribution is available for download.
As this can mean valid data could end up being deleted as well it seems sensible to force people to be aware things are pending. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | In fact it does this already.
When contributing a screen opens showing you the contribution history of the profile. The most recent contributions are presented at the top of the page, all you'd have to do is check for the status. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Having said that it doesn't seem to be working too well, maybe it's a bit confusing as it shows contributions in reverse order which means the accepted contributions are directly above the comment box.
Also looking at it from a usabilty viewpoint my eyes are drawn straight to the comments box as it's a clear space on the screen and the approved or rejected statuses stand out due to the colours. It doesn't really encourage users to check the contributions further up. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
