I've run into this issue all the time.  And that is trying to do a general title search only to have the filter not do as expected. I have the search with the title checked.

For example, if I enter "doctor who", all of the entries that start with that string show up. but, as soon as I add a space to add another search word, the displayed list drops to one entry.  Why?  All but one of the entries actually starts with: "Doctor Who:"  Note the colon.  The colon should be ignored in a real search, but appears not to be.

When I start typing doctor and get the "doc" part entered, the Doctor Who entries appear.

As soon as I enter " doctor c", all of the entries vanish from the screen.  What I wanted to see listed are all entries that have "doctor" and "complete" in the title, but DVDP appears to not allow multiple word searches when the words are not side-by-side.

If I enter: "doctor who: the complete", then those entries that EXACTLY match that sequence appear.

So much for searching the titles using words contained anywhere in the title.  Having to know the exact sequence of words in the title defeats the purpose of trying to find titles in which you do not know the exact sequence.

Can it be done?

If not, then that needs to be a major enhancement to the next version, whenever that is.

The program itself doesn't have the kind of search capability that you ask for, but the Database Query addin lets you search by regular expression.
