| Posted: | | | | The Strain: The Complete First Season and The Strain: The Complete Second Season are not showing up in my online collection for some reason, both the parent and child profiles. See here. (Child profiles for Season 2 have yet to be contributed.)I did delete my online collection, then uploading my local collection again thinking that might fix it. It didn't. That being said, I don't use my online collection, the version hosted by Invelos. (No issues with these profiles per my phpdvdprofiler based website.) Figured I'd chime in anyway though as others may be experiencing this issue as well. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for chiming in. I've never used the "Edit Profile->Personal Information->Exclusions" options. Double checked just now to be sure. None of those options are checked for these profiles.
Also, I just checked my online collection statistics and settings. Everything looks good there too and interestingly enough, my DVD count shows to be 1,873 which is what it should be. That count matches what I see locally within DVD Profiler, yet the profiles for both seasons of this TV show aren't being displayed online. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | I'm sure they are as otherwise I'd have the same issue with my phpdvdprofiler based website which I don't. It's just with the Invelos hosted version of my online connection. That being said, I did check just now to be sure. The "Edit Custom Collection Categories->Category Options->Include contents in owned collection" is checked for all of them. A server-sided issue perhaps? Easy enough to confirm I would imagine. And again, I'm okay with the profiles not showing up as I don't even use the Invelos hosted version of my online collection. Just chiming in as others might be seeing the same with the profiles for this TV series who do use the Invelos hosted version of their collection. Also, I'm running DVD Profiler Version 3.9.1 Build 1657. Appears to be the latest version. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | Mine shows fine. What do you have it rated? I know some of the ratings don't show on the online. I recently got season 1 and remember having to correct (per rules) the rating as it was rated TV-MA without that rating being on back of case. Not sure if that is one of the ratings that don't show or not. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Bingo. I have all profiles for this TV series set to TV-MA. In fact, I have my profiles for the TV Series "The Sopranos" set the same way. None of those profiles are being displayed online either. I noticed that some months back actually, but forgot about it. Anyway, so I just changed the rating for each of my "The Strain" profiles to NR instead and uploaded my collection. They're all showing up now online.
I wasn't aware of this issue. Thanks. I am aware of the contribution guidelines. I was under the impression though with my online collection that a given profile should be displayed whether it complies with the contribution guidelines or not. Should we not consider this a bug with the Invelos hosted version of our collections? Either way. At least now I know. Use my phpDVDProfiler website exclusively anyway, so no harm, no foul. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection |

I take it this is an online filter, something don't have access to? Again, it's good either way as I use phpdvdprofiler exclusively anyway. No issues there with profiles rated TV-MA not showing up. Just curious is all. So are profiles set to TV-MA treated as "Adult" titles? My online collection setting, "Show in Public Listing" has "Adult Titles" checked. In any event, I appreciate everyone chiming in. Mystery solved. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I know it is how they designed it to work. And I can see it being needed for some titles. Especially for stuff like porn... where they can't have them showing up on their site. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I can certainly understand the need for Invelos to filter out things per the online collections they are hosting. Well, with respect to porn anyway. Isn't that what the "Adult" rating is for? Just surprised to learn there's a blanket filter on TV-MA profiles. In the case of "The Sopranos" the rating is even present on the cover art. A rating of NR can mean a lot of things. If a title is actually rated TV-MA I prefer to list it that way and will continue to do so since I use phpDVDProfiler. As far as "porn" titles go, do they even have ratings? I have no clue. Would seem silly to me if they did. Perhaps filtering out TV-MA titles is just to be on the safe side per any adult profiles that slip through rated that way instead. In any event, at least I know now. | Posted: | | | | Soft core porn that is broadcast on premium channels, would get a TV-MA rating so I am pretty sure that is why it is a blanket ban. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Do they really sell Skin-emax and the like on DVD and Blu-ray? I suppose I'd be suprised if I went looking. Either way, I hear what you're saying. Least I know now to set all my TV-MA profiles to NR if I want them to show online per my collection hosted by Invelos. Don't plan to, but at least I know now.
Hit up my phpDVDProfiler website just now for kicks filtering by profiles rated TV-MA. As suspected, the majority are TV shows that aired on HBO, several of which do show the TV-MA rating on the cover art.
The Americans The Bridge Deadwood Homeland The Pacific Rome The Sopranos The Strain True Detective The Wire
Guess I didn't look too carefully when hitting up the Invelos hosted version of my online collection. There were a lot more missing profiles than I thought. Doh! If I had looked more closely I'm sure I would have figured out that TV-MA profiles were being filtered out. Seems silly to me that any of these titles should be filtered out. Guess it's much easier though to have a blanket filter rather than filtering out specific titles instead. It's all good either way. Just good to know what's up. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Invelos Support: Quote: Yes, they are set to TV-MA, and so are being hidden by parental control. I went back and took a second look at this. In DVD Profiler I had the " Options->Parental Control->Adult Title Definition->Content Rating" option set to " By Rating Age->18". As you stated, this is what was hiding all my TV-MA titles. I get it now. Changed the option just now to " By Rating Age->'Adult' Ratings Only", then uploaded my collection again. Sure enough, all my profiles rated TV-MA are now showing online per the Invelos hosted version of my collection. None are being hidden. Thanks again. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |
